I just wanted to say that I am so tremendously happy the guys are back. I've missed them and their particular brand of music for the last decade or so...but I still have all my tapes, 8 x 10's, guitar picks and wonderful memeories. I hope ya'll find yourselves in Oklahoma soon....you can bet my entire family will be there. Congratualtions on ya'll's return and the very best of luck and good wishes for all you!!!

    Hey guys!

Just checked out Music Row standings and saw that Kickin Up Dust moved up to #36 on the charts. This is great news!! This means that all those stations that carry the Top 40 programs now HAVE TO PLAY music by The Pirates of the Mississippi!!!! Everyone who listens to those will now hear POM music and will, like all of us POM fans, become hooked and hungry for more.

Congrats on breaking into the top 40 with the new single.

You guys are great writers/musicians and singers. Hope you're already working on songs for a new recording. I'm having a hard time finding out if our local stations in Dallas/Fort Worth are playing your music because I can't get my Pirates discs our of the CD changer long enough to hear what is on the radio. We're e-mailing and calling the stations here trying to get you on the air and in the rotation.

Keep up the great music, and please come to town soon. By chance, if you ever see Dean, tell him I've still got the guitar pick he gave me years ago. Still got all the concert pics and the 8X10 of all of us together. I'll have a copy for ya'll when you get to Texas.

    See ya'll soon.

    Hey Guys,
Just wanted to let you know we've gotten the alerts from VH1 about the video, EXCELLENT! I received my prize pak and WOW it was AWESOME. Thank you very much. Kiley loves everything and I might have gotten snookered out of a few things. Most all the Wal-Marts here have the CD, we've picked up a couple already and have 7 more stocking to go, so we'll be on the hunt for a few more....I move them to the front or ask to see if the store can get them in the ones that don't. We want to wish every one Rich, Bill, Pasi, Ross, Dan, Joyce, Amy,Bekkie and the rest of the Pirate crew a very merry Christmas. We'll send pictures of our little pirate soon. Best wishes and all our love.

Hey you guys, I just wanted to let you know that there is a reference to Feed Jake in the novel I'm currently reading. In Iris Johansen's The Face of Deception a character is a big country music fan and is listening to Feed Jake in the car. And talks about it in another paragragh. I have to say this writer has exceptional taste in music. It's so good to have you guys back and the cd is awsome. the only thing better would be you playing somewhere in Ohio, because we miss you here in Ohio. Loretta

    Hi All,
I just found out the band will be putting on a show in my hometown, VIBURNUM MISSOURI.  Oct. 6th.
If you are a fan of the PotM and live in Mo , this would be a great place to see them, the ticket price is subsidised by the Old Miners Day commitee , parking is free, and you will be able to get close to th band.

You guys are great, but you need some major exposure. And I have to say, you made a big mistake when you didn't release Till I'm Holding You Again as a single, because it's by far your best song ever. If you ever do consider re-releasing it and making a video, please, no cartoons or actors! As a fan, I'd like to see you in action.
